A newly opened regional office in Southeast Asia is set to bring product development, sourcing and production management closer together, reflecting a growing emphasis on on-the-ground oversight within global furniture supply chains. The facility will serve as a central coordination point for supplier engagement, compliance, and development activities across the region.
Several sentences into the announcement, global furniture brand SUNPAN confirmed that the new site is located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, where it will function as the company's Asia headquarters. The move expands its regional footprint and formalises a permanent base close to key manufacturing partners.

The local team will collaborate closely with the head office in Toronto to align product development processes and production oversight across markets.
"Our Vietnam office strengthens product development and quality oversight, shortens development cycles, and builds closer partnerships with suppliers," said Fion Ho, Director of Product Development at SUNPAN. "Having a local, expert team on the ground ensures accountability, supports the supply chain, and fosters stronger, more collaborative relationships."
As a sourcing and development hub, the office will work directly with manufacturing partners to improve onsite production management and accelerate timelines from concept to final production. The facility will also oversee quality control and compliance, with plans to expand capabilities as operations grow. Additional technical designers and materials specialists are expected to be recruited to deepen expertise within the production network.
"Our Asia headquarters in Vietnam represents an important investment. Having a permanent presence in the region allows us to build a strong local team and enable a more consistent and efficient operation overall to support SUNPAN's future growth," said Sangeeta Dulall, Director of People and Culture at SUNPAN.
SUNPAN operates a global infrastructure serving trade partners internationally. Alongside its Toronto headquarters and the new Asia base, the company maintains warehouses in Houston and Toronto, and showrooms in High Point, Toronto and Las Vegas. It works with more than 40 manufacturing partners across nine countries.
The company indicated it will continue to reinforce its Asia operations as part of a wider global strategy. SUNPAN, a trade-only supplier specialising in contemporary and transitional furnishings for interior and exterior spaces, has also been formally recognised by Great Place To Work Canada.
