At this year's Salone del Mobile.Milano, MIDJ presents Cover.1, a project reborn in the way a true classic is revisited: by respecting its original essence while making it relevant for today. An archetype renewed to engage with the spirit of our time, preserving its identity while opening up to a new interpretation of contemporaneity.

The rethinking of Cover.1 stems from a careful formal and functional refinement. The lines become softer and more measured; the shell has been redesigned, moving beyond the previous trapezoidal backrest and sharper angles, while the base evolves into a new sled-frame configuration. The proportions have also been recalibrated to enhance stability, comfort and functionality, responding precisely to the demands of high-traffic environments.
Conceived for contemporary contract settings, Cover.1 incorporates a polypropylene spacer that protects the upholstery during stacking, separating the seats and preventing friction. A discreet yet effective solution that ensures durability and operational reliability in public and hospitality contexts.
The Cover family includes a chair, stool and lounge version, expanding its range of applications across residential and collective spaces. Available in the full MIDJ colour palette and highly customisable in materials, Cover.1 expresses a fresh and versatile contemporary spirit — an accessible and conscious design conceived to endure.
