A major European furniture retailer is set to open a new store just outside Berlin in Rangsdorf on 5 March. Ahead of the official launch, a "Pre-Shopping Event" is scheduled for 27 February from 17:00, with 1,000 free tickets distributed online reportedly selling out within hours.

The evening will transform the store into a large event space, featuring live music from The BossHoss Duo, cooking demonstrations by TV chefs Alexander Herrmann and Johann Lafer, DJ sets, acrobatic performances and gin tastings. All activities will be complimentary for registered guests.
The 24,000-square-metre location, operated by XXXLutz, is designed as a modern, family-friendly shopping experience. It will include over 1,000 exhibition areas showcasing living spaces and interior concepts, more than 140 display kitchens, an on-site restaurant with seating for around 200, and a dedicated children's play area.
Following the pre-event, the official opening will take place from 5 to 8 March, featuring an extensive programme for families. The store aims to combine lifestyle inspiration with entertainment and gastronomy, positioning the location as an immersive destination rather than a conventional furniture outlet.
The expansion reflects XXXLutz's continued strategy of creating experiential retail spaces that blend shopping, leisure and culinary experiences under one roof.
