The buyer is Armen Living, a California‑based brand also behind Uwharrie Outdoor Living. It has bought a 12,000‑square‑foot property at 417 S. Wrenn St., just a short walk from the market's Transportation Terminal. The site includes two attached buildings and nearly an acre of land, positioning the company to showcase its full range of new arrivals alongside Uwharrie products.
Phase 1 of the renovation focuses on modernising the 7,000‑square‑foot street‑facing building with updated interiors, new lighting and exterior improvements, including an outdoor space and attached deck. A second phase, scheduled after the spring market, will upgrade the 5,000‑square‑foot rear building, adding shipping and receiving facilities as well as parking, while enhancing the exterior with large windows, fresh paint, signage and a rooftop billboard.
Kevin Kevonian, owner, president and CEO of Armen Living, said the acquisition would support future growth and expand the company's customer base with 'exponential opportunities'.
