The highlight of the collection is the 'Ger Nijman' model, a tribute to the founder. This sofa combines the distinctive design language of the 1980s with the exceptional seating comfort that made Montèl renowned. The anniversary model can be fully customised, with a choice of fabrics and colours, with or without patterns.
Bram Nijman, director of Montèl, said, 'When my father started, he had a clear mission: to make good seating comfort accessible to everyone. That we now, 40 years later, still share that passion and can honour him with a sofa bearing his name completes the circle for me. All designs are created in-house. From the first sketch to the final execution, each model is carefully reviewed and tested. For the anniversary collection, Montèl developed special materials and finishes with recognisable textures and comfortable seating that can be both seen and felt.
