UK furniture imports and exports both increased in December 2025, according to the latest trade data analysed by Big Furniture Group. Total imports into Britain rose 5.1% year-on-year to £677.7m, driven by shipments from the EU (£290.6m, +4.3%) and non-EU countries (£387m, +5.8%). Key increases came from Italy (+6.4%), Poland (+6%), Germany (+3.9%), China (+2.1%), Vietnam (+27%), the USA (+21%) and Morocco (+30%).

UK furniture exports also grew 6.7% to £210.7m. Within Europe, exports rose 5.7% to £84.3m, with France (+19%) and Ireland (+8.9%) notable gains, while Germany fell 28% and Slovakia surged 332%. Outside Europe, exports increased 7.3% to £126.4m, with the USA up 27% and China up 9.3%, although exports to the UAE (-32%) and Singapore (-5.5%) fell.
