Action has inaugurated its first permanent distribution centre (DC) in Italy, located in Novara, marking the retailer's 17th DC in Europe. Measuring 57,000 square metres, the facility will supply up to 270 stores across Italy and is expected to create around 300 jobs over time.

The DC is built to internationally recognised BREEAM 'Excellent' standards and operates gas-free, reflecting Action's commitment to sustainable construction. Features include solar panels for water heating, photovoltaic panels for electricity generation, LED lighting, intelligent energy and water meters, and charging stations for electric vehicles.

Every aspect of the facility, from construction materials to installed equipment, has been sustainably designed for ecological and environmentally friendly operations."
Logistics operations at the Novara DC are managed in partnership with FIEGE, employing approximately 280 staff. Since opening its first Italian stores in Vanzaghello and Turin on 22 April 2021, Action has expanded to 213 stores in the country, employing nearly 5,000 people. The new Novara DC strengthens the retailer's supply chain, enhances operational efficiency, and reinforces its focus on sustainability in logistics and infrastructure.
