IKEA is opening a IKEA compact-format store in Białystok, located in the Galeria Zielone Wzgórze shopping centre, owned by Carrefour Polska. Scheduled to open by the end of 2026, this will be IKEA's second compact-format store in Poland, following the debut in Bielsko-Biała in 2025.

The Białystok store will occupy over 3,600 m² and, despite its smaller footprint, will provide a full IKEA brand experience, including:
- Direct sales with more than 2,000 home furnishing items available on-site, especially accessories
- Inspiration and displays, showing functional setups for small and large homes
- Design services, including professional kitchen and storage planning
- Integration with e-commerce, acting as a hub for online orders with flexible home delivery or pick-up options
- Food services, featuring a Bistro IKEA and a Swedish Shop
IKEA's compact store model allows faster and more flexible regional expansion, responding to evolving shopping habits and increasing brand accessibility outside major metropolitan areas.
Executives highlight that the project aligns with IKEA's sustainability and growth strategy in Poland, reinforcing the synergy between a global home furnishing brand and local shopping centres, enhancing customer experience, and attracting further prestigious tenants.
This opening marks a significant step in IKEA Retail's continued expansion in Poland, demonstrating adaptability to medium-sized city markets while maintaining the full IKEA experience.
