The German upholstered furniture manufacturer Rolf Benz AG & Co. KG is now entirely back in German hands. A domestic investor consortium, led by Frank Niehage, former CEO of Flatexdegiro and ex-Goldman Sachs lawyer, will assume ownership and the role of chairman of the supervisory board, with the transaction expected to close in March 2026.

The consortium has committed to preserving the company's brand identity, production in the Nordschwarzwald, and premium design ethos, while aiming to sharpen the brand, boost innovation, and secure long-term profitability through targeted investments and strategic expansion.
Longstanding executives Jürgen Mauß (CEO) and Jens Hofmann (CFO) will remain with the company and take equity stakes under the new ownership. The consortium emphasises employee trust and engagement, recognising the workforce as a cornerstone of Rolf Benz's success.
The move ensures that Rolf Benz continues to stand for timeless design, durability, and German craftsmanship, reinforcing its position as a leading premium furniture brand both domestically and internationally.
