Indian furniture manufacturer Vlite Furnitech has secured the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification for its storage units under the standard IS 17634, becoming only the second furniture company in India to achieve this recognition.

The certification highlights the company's commitment to quality, safety and manufacturing excellence and aligns with India's broader push for higher standards in furniture production, especially as compliance with BIS standards has become increasingly significant for market access.
Vlite Furnitech's product range includes modular office workstations, BIS-certified storage solutions such as cabinets, pedestals and shelving, as well as furniture for schools and laboratories designed for comfort, durability and organised environments.
Co-founder Vishnu Sharma described the certification as a "proud milestone," emphasising that it reinforces confidence in the performance and compliance of the company's products.
Founded in 2008 and based in Mumbai, Vlite Furnitech has built a reputation for ergonomic, stylish furniture tailored to corporate offices and institutional settings across India.
