National retailer Marks & Spencer (M&S) has inaugurated a new 83,000 sq ft flagship store at SouthGate Bath, relocating from its previous Stall Street location. The four-story store features a 14,000 sq ft fresh market-style foodhall on the ground floor, complemented by a bakery and coffee counter. The upper floors house fashion offerings and a 1,600 sq ft beauty hall, with a curated homeware collection, including the M&S x Kelly Hoppen edit, on the top floor.

Bath SouthGate is among more than 20 new or renewed M&S stores planned across the UK in the latter half of the financial year. Store Manager Natalie Jordan, who leads a team of 280 colleagues, emphasized the store's commitment to quality, value, and customer experience.
Laurence Budden, Senior Asset Manager at British Land, highlighted the store's contribution to SouthGate's retail mix and city centre appeal, noting that the scheme is now fully let and complemented by recent openings including Sunglass Hut, Zara, and Rituals.
