Generational change at Wittmann: Alice Wittmann appointed Managing Director

Austrian premium furniture manufacturer Wittmann Möbelwerkstätten is setting a clear course for the future with a generational transition in leadership. Alice Wittmann, great-great-granddaughter of the company's founder, has been appointed Managing Director, assuming responsibility for marketing, product development and sales.

With this appointment, Wittmann returns overall entrepreneurial leadership to the founding family. Alice Wittmann succeeds Bo Thuesen, who has stepped down from his role as CEO at his own request. Alice Wittmann previously led the company's product division and brings extensive experience in brand development and marketing.

"In the current market environment, we are convinced that leadership deeply rooted in the company's values and history is essential," says Alice Wittmann. "The close integration of ownership and operational management allows for greater agility, clarity and a long-term perspective. Our goal is to position Wittmann as an independent Austrian company with a strong and sustainable future."

Under her leadership, Wittmann will sharpen its strategic focus on its core strengths: exceptional craftsmanship, uncompromising quality and a timeless design language. Alongside its established network of specialist retailers, the company plans to further expand its contract business, particularly in hospitality and corporate interiors. At the same time, Wittmann aims to strengthen its digital presence to engage more effectively with architects and interior designers worldwide.

"Our ambition is to continuously evolve the Wittmann brand while preserving what has always defined us," Alice Wittmann adds. "Excellent products, reliable partnerships and the strength of an established brand remain the foundation of our success."
