In-store homeware sales also rose by 0.85% from a base of -0.05%, extending a six-week streak of gains. Overall, total store LFL sales increased by 4.21% compared to the same week last year, while non-store LFL sales dropped 8.23% from a positive base of 8.62% in 2025. Footfall across retail locations grew by 0.9%, with retail parks seeing the highest increase at 2.5%, shopping centres up by 0.9%, and high street foot traffic rising slightly by 0.1%. BDO noted that the week's generally unsettled weather in the UK, including frequent rain and wind, contributed to the sales patterns.
