Tarkett unveils Johnsonite 2026 colours of the year, inspired by Wild Earth

"Nature has never stayed inside the lines, and this year, neither do we," says Janette Murray, Johnsonite colour expert. "The 2026 palette celebrates colour in its purest form, derived from natural ingredients that spill forth from the earth. Working with Mother Nature, we let cloth become canvas, allowing the colours to emerge organically."

The seven hues of the collection reflect the colours and vitality of the natural world:

  • Turmeric Gold – Warm, luminous gold inspired by turmeric root, symbolising strength and healing.
  • Smoked Paprika – A brown-orange rust that is bold yet grounded, evoking sunsets on clay rooftops.
  • Showy Zinnia – Vibrant red drawn from blooming zinnias, embodying vitality and growth.
  • Red Cabbage – A plum-purple created from cabbage and blueberries, offering depth and quiet sophistication.
  • Sweet Onion – Soft mauve derived from red onion skins, earthy, comforting, and versatile.
  • Cool as a Cuke – Lime-tinted green inspired by yellow filler flowers, crisp and refreshing.
  • Blue Kale – Deep indigo from red cabbage and baking soda, a dependable and thoughtful tone.

The 2026 Colours of the Year can be used individually, in combination, or paired with Johnsonite's 114-color standard palette, the industry's broadest range. The palette applies across wall base, rubber tile, stairwell solutions, and finishing accessories, enabling creative expression in any interior environment.
