Asko to participate in Echo under themes of heritage and nature

Premium appliance brand Asko participates in the inaugural edition of Echo, a new international design exhibition currently taking place from 3–6 February 2026 in Stockholm. Bringing together leading voices in design, Echo explores the themes of heritage and nature, values deeply embedded in Asko's Scandinavian identity.

With more than 75 years of craftsmanship, Asko's story is shaped by innovation, durability, and respect for natural resources. Inspired by the Nordic landscape, its forests, coastlines, and archipelagos, Asko embodies the Scandinavian design philosophy where form follows function and practicality becomes timeless beauty.

At Echo, Asko presents appliances designed with care for the user, the home, and the environment. High-quality materials, intuitive functionality, and long product lifespans define the brand's approach to sustainability, ensuring products that endure both technically and aesthetically.

Asko's journey began in 1950 in Jung, Sweden, when Karl-Erik Andersson built a washing machine to ease his mother's daily workload. Crafted from cast iron and stainless steel, it set a new standard for durability and performance. The brand's deeper roots reach back to 1918 in Finland, where Asko started as a furniture maker under Aukusti Asko-Avonius, shaping the foundations of minimalist Scandinavian design. The merger of Swedish engineering and Finnish design in 1988 formed the Asko brand as it is known today.

At Echo, Asko highlights Scandinavian Laundry Care 2.0, led by the award-winning Steel Seal™ washing machine, which removes the traditional rubber bellow for improved hygiene and durability. Innovations such as Quattro Construction™ 2.0, Sensi Save™, and Auto Dose reduce energy, water, and detergent use, while durability testing simulates 20 years of household use. Integrated tumble dryers with Butterfly Drying™ complete the system in a compact footprint of just 0.76 m².

Asko also presents its Celsius ovens, inspired by Anders Celsius. Featuring Celsius°Cooking™, precision temperature control, steam cooking, and intuitive interfaces, the range balances advanced technology with refined Scandinavian design. The ovens are available in three design lines, Elements, Craft, and Essence, with the Craft series receiving both iF Design Award 2025 and Red Dot Award 2025.

Asko's presence at Echo is complemented by a curated Nordic culinary experience by Rebecca Corbo, reflecting the brand's philosophy of precision, care, and respect for nature.
