Bedroom furniture searches focused on DFS, Wayfair, and IKEA, with high interest in modular and baby bedroom furniture. Dining and living room furniture searches also peaked on 28 December, highlighting Next, Furniture Village, and DFS. Sofa-related searches were notable, with Wayfair queries up 2,550% and "corner sofa" searches up 500%. Flooring and carpets recorded early-December peaks, with terms like "flooring near me" up 250% and "fitted carpet" up 400%.
The report suggests retailers can use this search data to align promotions and anticipate consumer demand trends, particularly in the post-holiday period.
