A new report by socjolożki.pl on behalf of JYSK Polska highlights changing sleep habits in Poland. While single duvets remain most common, the use of two separate duvets rises sharply with age, reaching near parity among those aged 65 and older (53% one duvet, 47% two).

The study also examined sleep duration and routines. Less than half of respondents (45%) reported needing under eight hours of sleep, 39% required exactly eight hours, and 17% needed more than eight. Men typically reported shorter sleep needs than women, and the proportion needing less than eight hours increases with age.
Pre-sleep activities are dominated by screens, with younger people using smartphones and older groups watching television. Side-sleeping is most common (70%), increasing to 82% in those over 65, with women more likely than men to adopt this position. Daytime naps remain widespread, with 68% of respondents taking them.
JYSK Polska emphasises that understanding these habits informs product development and promotes healthy sleep. Sylwia Filimon, the company's communications director, said, "Good sleep is fundamental to health, wellbeing and daily functioning," while Katarzyna Krzywicka-Zdunek of socjolożki.pl noted it reflects growing awareness of self-care, comfort, and sleep quality.
