Growth was driven by rising customer demand for low-priced, good-quality everyday products. Action ended the year with 3,302 stores across 14 countries after opening 384 new locations, exceeding its target of opening at least one store per day. During the year, the retailer entered Switzerland and Romania and opened three additional distribution centres to support expansion.
Action continued to invest in its workforce as the business scaled. The company employed 84,000 colleagues by year end, created more than 4,500 new jobs, and promoted 3,705 employees internally. Employee engagement levels increased and remained above retail industry benchmarks.
The results underline Action's rapid expansion across Europe and its focus on operational scale, workforce development, and value-led retail as it continues to grow its store estate and customer base.
