In January 2026, the Coretta console, designed by Alexia Leleu, has entered the permanent collections of the Mobilier national, marking a significant recognition of contemporary French design. This acquisition represents the second inclusion of an Alexia Leleu creation in the national collections, following the acquisition of the Mava armchair in January 2022.

A leading figure in rigorous and experimental French creation, Alexia Leleu has developed a distinctive vision of contemporary furniture situated at the intersection of art, craftsmanship and design. Drawing on her family heritage, travels and formal research, she continues to shape the evolving language of Maison Leleu, founded in its new generation form in 2018.
With Coretta, Leleu revisits an iconic occasional table from the Maison's archives, transforming it into a manifesto console. By inverting volumes and reinterpreting its original function, the piece offers a contemporary reading of collectible furniture. Crafted in raw ceramic and finished in platinum, Coretta reveals unexpected material qualities, producing subtle chiaroscuro effects and infinite visual variations. Positioned between design and sculpture, the console asserts a strong architectural presence while maintaining refined delicacy in its execution.
Conceived specifically for the Mobilier national, Coretta embodies the institution's mission to foster dialogue between heritage and contemporary creation. With over four centuries of history, the Mobilier national continues to enrich its collections by integrating works by established and emerging designers, positioning itself as both a guardian of heritage and a platform for the design of tomorrow.

At Maison Leleu, Alexia Leleu creates collections in which each piece pays tribute to ancestral craftsmanship. Across furniture, rugs, lighting and textiles, produced in collaboration with master artisans, she offers a poetic interpretation of the Maison's stylistic codes, enriched by a distinctly contemporary sensibility.
Recognised both in France and internationally, Alexia Leleu collaborates with leading interior designers worldwide and also oversees complete interior design projects. As a new-generation ensemblier-décorateur, she continues the legacy of her great-grandfather Jules Leleu, an iconic figure of the Art Deco movement, while firmly anchoring Maison LELEU within today's contemporary design landscape.
