At the January 2026 edition of Maison & Objet, Lucas Zito presented a striking series of lighting designs as part of the Curatio showcase, demonstrating a seamless fusion of technological innovation and artisanal expertise. The highlight of his exhibition was BUOY Monumenta, a three-metre-high sculptural lamp that was entirely 3D-printed and then meticulously assembled by hand. This piece exemplifies Zito's ability to translate complex formal concepts into tangible structures, marrying technology with the tactile presence of handcrafted work. Alongside BUOY Monumenta, Zito unveiled Patch and a new version of Patch Monumenta, both of which emphasise the importance of human intervention in the creative process, highlighting the interplay between gesture, materiality, and design.
