A family-owned furniture store in Germany, part of a chain with six locations nationwide, is closing its Fürth branch after more than 65 years in operation. The business, now in its third generation and headquartered in Bremen, describes the closure as "the end of an era" on its website.

The Fürth store of Flamme Küchen + Möbel spans 12,000 square meters across four floors, offering kitchens and furniture. Ahead of the closure, a large clearance sale is underway, with discounts of up to 50% on millions of euros worth of inventory. The promotion will continue at least until February 28, 2026, though the exact closing date has not been announced.
Company representatives have not provided further details regarding the reason for the closure. This follows a similar shutdown of another traditional Fürth furniture store nearly two years ago.
Local residents are encouraged to take advantage of the clearance sale while it lasts.
