The latest confirmed closure is the Roller store in Villingen-Schwenningen, Baden-Württemberg. Local media reported that an unannounced clearance sale began on 21 January, resulting in long queues at tills. Although early advertising suggested the store was nearing immediate closure, it is now expected to cease trading in June.

Roller said the decision was taken after "careful consideration of all the circumstances", without providing specific performance details. The retailer added that affected employees would be offered alternative roles at nearby Roller locations.

A second branch in Crailsheim, also in Baden-Württemberg, is closing, with a clearance sale currently underway. The company has previously shut stores in Husum and other locations, indicating increased scrutiny of its estate.

Roller, founded in 1969 and headquartered in Gelsenkirchen, operates around 120 stores across Germany. Despite its budget positioning, recent research suggested pricing competitiveness has come under pressure, highlighting wider challenges facing large-format furniture retailers.
