Bradley Adair, Kalalou's creative director, noted that consumers currently seek "dopamine décor", items that provide stress relief and boost mood. He described the new ceramic collection as focusing on creating feelings of delight and celebration.
Josh McKay, vice president of sales and marketing, highlighted Kalalou's investment in creative sources worldwide. He said the company aims to offer retailers fresh designs that are easy to merchandise, with quick turnaround times and strong point-of-purchase potential.
Among the new designs, Adair mentioned a set of three striped vases spelling "Hello" in English, French, and Italian, reflecting current trends in bold stripes and wordplay. Another notable set features vases shaped like ladies' heads wearing sunglasses and fruit hats, part of Kalalou's popular "face vases" line known for conveying different expressions.
Adair also pointed to current ceramic motif trends influenced by fashion accessories, such as footwear designs including boots, sneakers, and Crocs with socks. Food-themed designs like fruits (lemons and watermelons), ceramic hamburgers and hot dogs, ice cream sundaes, and small cake trinket boxes are also expected to be popular and giftable.
On the low-fire ceramics side, there is a trend toward earth tones and sculptural forms. Kalalou plans to introduce products from Central America, including terra cotta urns, compotes, and other clay pieces in natural shades.
All ceramics featured in the collection are eligible for Kalalou's 40th anniversary promotion, offering $40 shipping on all in-stock products shipped during January. The promotion will be available at the Las Vegas Winter Market.
Kalalou marks its 40th year as a supplier of home accents, garden décor, and gift products. With manufacturing facilities across eight countries, the company says it is able to avoid adding tariff surcharges on customer invoices, leveraging its global presence to benefit retailers.
