In the heart of Paris's Saint-Germain-des-Prés (France), Les Maisons CAB has introduced Jacob, a collector-style apartment for rent that places contemporary art and 20th-century design at the centre of the living experience. Located just steps from cultural landmarks such as Café de Flore, Les Deux Magots and Brasserie Lipp, the apartment reflects the intellectual and artistic legacy of one of Paris's most emblematic neighbourhoods.

Jacob is part of Les Maisons CAB, a collection of holiday homes curated with contemporary artworks, avant-garde sculptures and iconic design furniture from the 1950s to the 1970s. Designed to be fully lived in, these residences translate the spirit of the CAB Foundation—known for its commitment to minimal and conceptual art, into immersive domestic environments.
Renovated by Belgian architect and interior designer Olivier Dwek, the 75 sqm apartment accommodates up to four guests across two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Set back from the street and overlooking a quiet inner courtyard, the west-facing apartment offers a calm retreat from the lively surroundings of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Its spatial centrepiece is a distinctive living area with a ceiling height of 5.5 metres and large picture windows that flood the interior with natural light. Comfort is enhanced through discreet features including underfloor heating, air conditioning and secure access.

What distinguishes Jacob is its rigorous curation of art and design. Works by artists such as Michel Parmentier and Nicolas Chardon are integrated into the architecture, creating a dialogue between abstraction, structure and space. In the living room, a work by Parmentier reflects his pursuit of formal rigour and a purified visual language, while a piece by Chardon in the hallway continues this exploration of form.
The furniture selection brings together emblematic names of modern design, including a sofa by Vladimir Kagan, a coat rack by Pierre Jeanneret, an armchair by Pierre Paulin, and a desk and chair by Jean Prouvé, complemented by elements by Charlotte Perriand. Together, these pieces reinforce the sense of inhabiting the private world of an art and design collector.
Fully embedded in the cultural fabric of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, home to historic bookshops, galleries and one of Paris's oldest churches, Jacob offers guests the opportunity to experience, for a few nights, a way of living where aesthetic discipline meets the art of everyday life.
