B&Q said the concept will provide one-to-one service, extended opening hours, and fast collection and delivery options, reflecting its strategic ambition to grow TradePoint into a £1bn business. TradePoint accounted for 22.4% of B&Q's total sales in the first half of 2025 and has expanded steadily recently.
Graham Bell, B&Q chief executive, described the launch as "a key milestone in helping us to achieve" the company's goal, adding that the store is designed to "make life easier for tradespeople and help them grow their businesses."
The Barking site represents a significant investment in B&Q's trade-focused operations and signals the retailer's ongoing commitment to serving professional customers through tailored services and a wide product range.
