Unlike retail sales, which were slightly stronger in the first half of the year, design & install revenue was evenly split, with £213m in H1 and £214m in H2. Wickes also reported that design & install orders have grown for five consecutive quarters, with delivered sales increasing for three. Combined, group revenue reached £1.636bn for the year.
Wickes expanded its store network with new openings in Southport and Northampton Riverside, bringing total new stores for 2025 to five. Additionally, one store was refitted and five refreshed, updating 83% of the estate to the new format.
David Wood, chief executive, said the results reflect "good sales growth" driven by volume, value, convenience and improvements to the design & install offering, positioning the business to continue supporting customers with home improvement projects in 2026.
