Woo Furniture presented sculptural Ukrainian design and emotional craft at Maison&Objet 2026

Ukrainian furniture brand Woo showcased a refined collection of sculptural furniture objects at Maison&Objet 2026, held in Paris from 15 to 19 January. Exhibiting in Hall 2, SIGNATURE, Stand I16–J17, the brand presented its distinctive approach to contemporary Ukrainian design to an international, primarily European, audience.

Founded in Kyiv in 2015, Woo positioned itself at the intersection of design, art, and emotional experience. The brand specialised in pure forms and playful objects, with a philosophy centred on exploration, emotional engagement, and a connection to the inner child. Through its presentation, Woo emphasised its aim to evoke emotions ranging from curiosity and delight to excitement and wonder.

At the fair, Woo presented a curated selection of furniture pieces designed by Ukrainian designers Dmytro Kozinenko and Nikita Bukoros. The exhibited models were upholstered using premium textiles by Danish manufacturer Kvadrat, a company established in 1968 and internationally recognised for high-quality fabrics for furniture, architecture, and interior design. Kvadrat's textiles contributed to the collection's refined materiality and tactile quality.

Among the highlights of the stand was the NAI dining chair, designed by Dmytro Kozinenko, which had recently received the Best of Year 2025 award from Interior Design magazine. The chair featured a fluid, organic form without rigid lines or sharp angles and reflected an exploration of human imagination in contrast to AI-generated imagery. Designed for both residential and contract environments, the piece embodied Woo's focus on thoughtful design and emotional resonance.

Woo was also selected for the Best of MOM showcase and featured in The MOM Village, a curated exhibition highlighting products most appreciated by the Maison&Objet community. Located in the Hall 6 entrance gallery, The MOM Village served as a key destination for discovering outstanding design during the fair.

The broader presentation included a range of sculptural seating and furniture pieces. The Sumo armchair, designed by Nikita Bukoros, drew inspiration from Japanese artistic traditions and the japandi aesthetic, featuring raw textures and softly sculpted forms. The Balance dining chair, inspired by the art of rock balancing, explored visual equilibrium through layered construction. Additional highlights included the playful PLAY armchair, the modular DROVA ottoman pouf, the dough-inspired BUN lounge chair, and the BIBLIO table collection, which combined table surfaces with integrated book storage.
