YAAZ brought outdoor living indoors at Maison&Objet with Patrick Norguet collaboration

YAAZ returned to Maison&Objet in Paris from 15 to 19 January 2026, presenting a vision of living that seamlessly translated the outdoor lifestyle into indoor solutions. The brand also unveiled its first collaboration with designer Patrick Norguet, whose "essential yet deeply human approach to design" introduced a fresh sensibility to YAAZ's international narrative.

The brand's 50-square-metre exhibition, designed by AngelettiRuzza, the duo behind YAAZ's design studio, evoked well-being through small daily gestures, conviviality, and harmony inspired by nature. Lightness, balance, and comfort shaped a relaxed ecosystem reminiscent of an outdoor lunch spent with friends, combining natural beauty with sociable spaces.

A focal point of the stand was Orak, Norguet's reinterpretation of the outdoor umbrella as both functional and ornamental. "The elegance of a product lies in the quality of its details. We worked on and developed a collection of outdoor umbrellas that, besides their main function, can enrich and enhance the outdoor environments. We designed a parabolic form that integrates perfectly and blends into the space without being intrusive due to a meticulous design approach to details. The colour and the upholstery selections are conceived to offer a wide range of harmonious options," Norguet stated.

At the heart of the exhibition, the modular Semt table symbolised conviviality and genuine connection. Crafted with die-cast aluminium legs capable of supporting large tabletops, it combined robustness with compositional freedom. Surrounding the table, Kenda armchairs by Michael Graves Studio paired wood, rope, and aluminium, showcasing meticulous craftsmanship. The tactile wood backrest was visually balanced by tensioned cords, creating a sculptural and inviting presence.

The living zone was further enriched by Barla, the award-winning furniture family designed by AngelettiRuzza, whose aluminium curves and woven cords fostered intimate and relaxing spaces. Alongside Barla, Raffaella Mangiarotti's Koru collection offered a light, ethereal take on traditional iron craftsmanship, using slender rods and delicate intersections to evoke Art Nouveau influences, complemented by soft outdoor cushions for comfort.

Completing the presentation were the UZ collection, celebrating the geometry of cylinders and the tactile beauty of teak, and the Opus bergère by AngelettiRuzza, an aluminium and rope armchair with an organic form that interacted gracefully with its surroundings.

Through its display, YAAZ highlighted the seamless fusion of outdoor aesthetics with indoor functionality, emphasising craftsmanship, comfort, and a human-centred approach to design.
