The Pòta! family of lamps by Catellani & Smith has been honored with the prestigious 2025 Good Design Award, following last year's recognition of the Ensō table lamp. Selected from a record number of submissions spanning over 55 countries, Pòta! stood out for its conceptual strength, technological innovation, and artistic sensibility, a testament to Catellani & Smith's distinctive approach to lighting design.

Pòta! combines light brass structures with lighting units arranged in a rhythm that balances order and apparent randomness. The pendant version comes in two diameters, 50 cm and 85 cm, with 18 and 36 ELV LEDs respectively. A version with plug driver and floor-to-ceiling installation introduces an anvil-shaped counterweight, ensuring perfect equilibrium. The wall-mounted model features 20 ELV LEDs on intersecting slender brass rods, creating dynamic geometric patterns that can be used individually or modularly to craft striking visual compositions.
The Good Design Award, presented by the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, recognises excellence in form, function, and innovation, reaffirming Catellani & Smith's commitment to research-driven, expressive lighting that transforms space and volume.
