"Rooted in nearly 100 years of delighting consumers, this recognition is a testament to our enduring impact and legacy of innovation," said Melinda Whittington, La-Z-Boy Board Chair, President and CEO. Whittington emphasised the role of employees past and present in maintaining the brand's cultural relevance and reputation for comfort and quality.
Founded in 1927, La-Z-Boy operates a vertically integrated model, managing design, manufacturing, retail, distribution, and after-sales care. With 370 stores and strategic partnerships with national brands such as Rooms to Go, Slumberland, and Living Spaces, the company manufactures approximately 90% of its products across eight global facilities, five of which are in the U.S.
The company's Century Vision strategy, consumer-first focus, and recent initiatives—including the Long Live the Lazy campaign, brand refresh, and store network expansion—have driven growth at more than twice the market rate. La-Z-Boy will mark its centennial in 2027 with storytelling-driven events celebrating its heritage, legacy, and enduring connection with generations of consumers.
