3daysofdesign has announced its theme for the 2026 edition: Make This Moment Matter. The theme invites designers and design enthusiasts to reflect on the purpose and impact of their creative choices, emphasising mindfulness, sustainability, and intentionality in every decision.

"It's about being present. About choosing with care. Acting with purpose. And understanding that what you do right now shapes what comes next," the organisers explain. The theme underscores the importance of the present moment, recognising that while the past inspires and the future holds possibilities, the only moment that truly matters is now.
Signe Byrdal Terenziani, CEO & Managing Director of 3daysofdesign, said: "Implicit in our theme is an imperative for design to have a purpose, a why. When the why is clear, every move is tied to meaning. With 'Make This Moment Matter', we want to empower designers to create something meaningful, and to inspire you to choose products that are mindful of both people and the planet. Together we have the wherewithal to make a difference, and that will have a ripple effect."

The visual identity for 2026 was created by Copenhagen-based design studio On Display, founded by Anders Gerning, Marie Heissel, and Tor S. Johannesen. Drawing on their experience with visual identities, campaigns and publications, the trio approached the theme with a thoughtful, conceptual lens, reflecting on presence and possibilities. Central to the design is the Origami Teller, a poetic and playful element that encourages viewers to pause and consider each moment as an opportunity for meaningful action.
3daysofdesign encourages visitors, creators, and collaborators to explore the ways their choices shape not only the aesthetics and functionality of design but also its social and environmental impact. Every interaction, creation, and decision becomes a moment with potential to inspire change, aligned with the festival's broader mission to showcase design that resonates beyond the immediate.
As the event approaches, participants are invited to engage with the 2026 theme, explore the creative process behind the visual artwork, and join the conversation on mindful, purposeful design. The festival promises to highlight innovative projects that embody thoughtfulness, intentionality, and a commitment to shaping a sustainable and meaningful future.
