Furniture manufacturers increasingly adopt AI to enhance design, marketing and customer experience

Furniture manufacturers are embracing artificial intelligence (AI) to transform design, operations, and customer engagement. At the 2025 Furniture Today Leadership Conference, industry advisor Doug Estremadoyro highlighted that AI is "no longer optional" and urged executives to implement actionable strategies.

Coast by DK leverages AI for in-house product imaging, marketing, and communications. Austin Group furniture in North Carolina applies AI for photo editing, background generation, and forecasting.

AI is also being deployed to enhance e-commerce and customer interaction. Fusion Designs, an Indiana-based Amish case goods maker, uses AI to manage real-time content on its website, simplifying access to new designs for retailers, interior designers, and consumers.

In marketing, Soberon Studio and Baha Furniture utilise AI tools for project management, creative campaigns, and video advertising. Experts emphasise the importance of experienced AI guidance and selecting the right software platforms to maximise results.

The integration of AI is rapidly moving from experimental use to everyday operations, signalling a shift in how furniture companies approach product development, marketing, and customer engagement in 2026.
