The Ohio-based retailer, American Signature Inc., which operates Value City Furniture and American Signature Furniture, filed for voluntary Chapter 11 protection in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware in November 2025.

American Signature has been a fixture in the U.S. home furnishings market for nearly eight decades, serving communities across the eastern half of the country with furniture positioned around style, quality, and value. Under the approved plan, liquidation sales begin immediately at Value City Furniture's 79 stores across 13 states, as well as at American Signature's 10 locations in Delaware and Florida.

Shoppers can expect discounts of up to 50% off original prices across a broad assortment of merchandise, including living room, dining room, and bedroom furniture, along with décor, lighting, mattresses, and rugs. Five previously announced closing stores in Tennessee and North Carolina, four American Signature Furniture locations in Nashville and one Value City Furniture store in Charlotte, will continue their store-closing sales with deeper discounts as those locations wind down operations in the coming weeks.

Aaron Miller, president of SB360, said the scale of the sale will deliver exceptional value to consumers. He encouraged shoppers to visit early while selection remains strongest, noting that the combination of well-known brands and aggressive liquidation pricing is expected to drive significant demand over a limited timeframe.
