When Formex opens its doors in January 2026, attention once again turns to Design Talents – the platform dedicated to emerging designers shaping the future of interior design. The initiative brings together new creative voices with buyers, producers and media, offering a snapshot of where contemporary design is heading.

Launched in 2008, Design Talents has become one of Formex's most established and respected features. Over the years, it has served as a springboard for designers and craftspeople who have since gone on to build successful careers within the industry. The platform places strong emphasis on innovation, craftsmanship and sustainability, supporting participants in their professional development.
Design Talents Best in Show
The winner of the Design Talents Best in Show Award receives coaching, an extensive marketing package and a complimentary exhibition stand at the next edition of Formex. The award is designed to support both long-term business development and creative growth.

The Design Talents 2026 jury
The jury for the 2026 edition consists of:
- Lisa Bengtsson, pattern designer and Chair of Design Talents
- Cissi Blomqvist, ceramicist and founder of Oängslig Kreativitet
- Dennis Valencia, interior and set designer
- Ann-Louise Andrén, Creative Director and founder of Ceannis
Beckmans Scholarship
Each year, Formex awards a scholarship to a student from the Form programme at Beckmans College of Design. The recipient receives an exhibition stand and marketing support at the following Formex fair.
For 2026, the scholarship has been awarded to Anna Nyman, who graduated in May 2025. She will present SÅHÄR, a product series focused on home cultivation.
Formex takes place at Stockholmsmässan from 20–22 January 2026, welcoming national and international buyers, designers, producers, stylists and media representatives.
