Bonaldo wins Good Design Award with Flatiron table

Bonaldo has been awarded a Good Design Award for the Flatiron table, designed by Mauro Lipparini. The jury praised the project for the clarity of its design and its ability to translate architectural inspiration into a piece created for everyday use.

Established in Chicago in 1950, the Good Design Award is one of the world's longest-running and most respected international design accolades. Presented by the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, in collaboration with the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies, the award recognises products that combine design excellence with lasting relevance.

The Flatiron table takes inspiration from the iconic Fuller Building in New York—better known as the Flatiron Building, one of the earliest symbols of American architectural modernity. Rather than referencing the building formally, Mauro Lipparini interprets it as a cultural idea: an enduring architectural gesture transformed into contemporary design language.

An unconventional sense of balance defines the table. Its asymmetrical base has a strong architectural presence while maintaining visual lightness, allowing it to define space without overwhelming it. The slightly trapezoidal tabletop, softened by gently curved edges, further refines the geometry and enables the table to integrate naturally into sophisticated residential interiors.

Available in three sizes and a wide range of material finishes, the Flatiron table brings an architectural icon into modern living environments.
