At Maison & Objet, the Italian brand Zafferano, known for its creative collections and bold use of colour, unveils its latest innovations: tableware, lighting solutions and new battery-powered lamps featuring the brand's distinctive style.
The year 2026 marks Zafferano's 25th anniversary: an anniversary that the company has chosen to celebrate by displaying a Poldina lamp 10 times larger than the original and in perfect working order at its stand. Displayed alongside products actually on sale, the oversized Poldina takes on a highly symbolic value: the enlargement of an object that over time has become one of the most recognisable symbols of the Zafferano universe. Intrinsically pop, this scenographic element immediately conveys the company's ability to transform a functional lamp into a product capable of creating relationships and sharing. The monumental version of Poldina thus becomes a visual reference point within the stand and an effective synthesis of the brand's values, reaffirming Zafferano's vocation to bring joy, color, and conviviality to everyday spaces.

The brand-new lighting product which will be presented at the fair is PERPETUA, design BrogliatoTraverso: a reinterpretation of an archetype, Perpetua is a collection of cordless lamps designed to last over time. Essential and elegant, it introduces a new paradigm in portable lighting through a replaceable power system that goes beyond the traditional logic of electronic devices with integrated batteries.
Perpetua is composed of two elements:
- a die-cast aluminum structure, which integrates the LED module;
- a removable battery pack, shaped like a contemporary "candle," which attaches magnetically to the structure.
When needed, the battery can be replaced with a fully charged unit, allowing the lamp to be used without interruption. Recharging takes place via a contact charging base; a multi–charging base is also available, allowing up to eight battery packs to be recharged in a compact footprint, ideal for restaurants and hospitality environments.
The upper part of the battery pack, which symbolically evokes a wick, serves as a touch control for switching the lamp on and off, dimming, and selecting four colour temperatures.
Produced as a table version, Perpetua is available in three configurations (two single-stem models and one two-arm model) and in three finishes: black, red, and gold leaf. Thanks to its IP54 protection rating, it can also be used outdoors.
