California luxury designer Kathleen Jennison, founder and principal of KTJ Design Co., is celebrating an exciting close to 2025, with two prestigious design awards and high-profile media recognition marking a milestone in her 15-year career.

Jennison received 2nd Place, Small Bathrooms from the NKBA California Capital Chapter for her project Enchanted Escape. Reflecting on the design, she said:
"When our client first described their dream guest bathroom, they didn't ask for marble countertops or trendy tile – they asked for magic. Their vision? A whimsical forest-themed retreat with a 'wow' factor, one that felt elevated and artistic rather than adolescent or over-the-top."
The project transformed a cramped, uninspired layout into a functional, visually striking space. By removing a linen closet and annexing space from a coat closet, the team created room for a makeup vanity while maintaining the original footprint. Jennison added:
"Designing with restraint and sophistication helped to ground the playful theme, from a marble mosaic tile floor anchoring deep green, terracotta, black, and gold tones, to a tiled mural over the tub and brass finishes elevating the overall boutique-luxury feel."

KTJ Design Co. also received the Judges' Choice Award from the NARI Sacramento Chapter for the Mix, Mingle & Martini Project, a lounge and dining room designed for entertaining. Jennison said:
"I am so grateful to have received so many awards over the past 15 years…being awarded The Judges' Choice Award is an extra special honour to me."
In addition to accolades, Jennison's work was featured in Designers Today's October 2025 issue, highlighting her Designing for the Solo Set project, and will be discussed at Las Vegas Market on 26 January 2026. Upcoming media coverage includes Home Accents Today and Design News Now.
