Dencon, the Skive-based office furniture manufacturer, welcomed Niels Svolgaard as CEO at the start of 2026. He succeeds Henrik Damtoft Nielsen, who led the company since 2023 following the departure of founder Henrik Søger Feld.

Svolgaard brings a strong commercial focus and expertise in market development and internationalisation. His mandate is to expand Dencon's presence both in Denmark and abroad while strengthening its strategic growth. Francois Grimal, Dencon's chairman, highlighted Svolgaard's experience as key to positioning the company as an attractive partner in the Nordic and export markets.
Dencon specialises in office furniture for professional settings, including desks, reception units, and chairs. The company has shown improved financial performance, posting a pre-tax profit of 4 million DKK in 2024, up from 0.5 million DKK in 2023. Revenue and gross profit also increased, demonstrating the company's growth trajectory.
While ownership remains with the Feld family, a potential sale is reportedly under consideration due to personal circumstances. Svolgaard will work closely with management and staff to convert Dencon's potential into measurable growth, focusing on commercial strategy, international expansion, and alignment with market needs.
With the leadership change, Dencon aims to build on the strong foundation established by the previous CEO and continue its upward momentum in the competitive office furniture sector.
