Yevhen Ivanytsia, Executive Director of JYSK Ukraine, said the company is currently assessing the extent of the damage and the time needed to restore operations. He confirmed that the retailer plans to reopen the store later this winter.
The attack formed part of one of the largest Russian assaults on Zaporizhzhia, during which residential buildings, a shopping centre, and other civilian infrastructure were also damaged, according to Ukrainian authorities.
Founded in Denmark, JYSK operates more than 3,500 stores in 50 countries worldwide. In Ukraine, the company runs 112 stores across 38 cities, alongside its online platform, and employs nearly 1,000 people.
Despite the damage, JYSK has reaffirmed its commitment to continuing operations in Ukraine amid ongoing security challenges.
