Villeroy & Boch rejects final offer

On 17 December 2025, Villeroy & Boch employees almost unanimously rejected their employer's final proposal. During the members' meetings, there was also widespread dissatisfaction with how management treats staff. Employees report that they do not feel heard, acknowledged, or understood, and that they experience a lack of respect from the organisation.

According to employees, there is a lack of open and transparent communication. When raising problems, they often encounter uninterested reactions or are referred with the comment "just find other work if you don't like it here".

For a new collective agreement, the workers have drawn up some key points:

  • A 4% wage increase from 1 November 2025 for 12 months, or in case of non-negotiability, a 5.5% increase for 16 months.
  • Rejection of the proposed 7-day two-shift schedule because of its high social burden; however, they are open to adjustment in the event of an increase in shift pay.
  • Improvement of counselling in case of personal events, such as death of a loved one, with the manager entering into standard discussions with the employee concerned.
  • More recognition of employees as people, not just as production factors, and clear agreements to improve the working relationship.
  • An RVU scheme that does not transfer all risks to employees.

The employer has been invited to re-enter talks on the CBA, with a response no later than 8 January 2026. If this is not heeded, a members' meeting will follow on 19 January to determine whether action will be taken to assert the employee voice.

Participate in the meeting can be held at 1.30pm or 3.30pm in the canteen. Success depends on the willingness of all employees to stand up together for the CBA.
