2025 was a year of growth, new partnerships, and innovative designs for Easysofa. CEO Mirjam Snapper reflects on a year in which the Dutch furniture brand strategically focused on markets where it aimed to expand. From a successful home show to its expansion into France, Easysofa demonstrates how style and strategy can elevate a brand's presence.
'The past year has truly flown by and been nothing short of remarkable. After a very strong 2024, the bar was set high for 2025; but we met those expectations, and we're very proud of what we achieved,' says Mirjam Snapper, CEO of Easysofa. The company took a selective approach to exhibition participation and concentrated on markets with real growth potential. This strategy led to a successful home show in September and an excellent presence at the Brussels exhibition. Additionally, an updated fabric collection helped contribute to the positive results.

Another highlight of 2025 was the expansion of the Easysofa team. 'We're especially proud to have welcomed some exceptional new colleagues. Finding people who truly fit your company's DNA is always a challenge, and we're delighted that we succeeded.'
International growth was also on the agenda. For the first time, Easysofa participated in Maison et Objet in Paris and built a strong French team. 'Success in France requires more than just the right design language; it also means navigating language, culture, and logistics challenges. As straightforward Dutchmen, this hasn't always been easy, but we've made great progress and are now ready to significantly grow our sales in France next year,' Snapper explains.

Speciality shops
Easysofa faced challenges as well, especially as sales shifted from large retailers to individual specialty shops, putting pressure on logistics. 'Logistics costs have risen sharply, and the industry has been under financial pressure for some time. There's no quick fix, so this remains an area of constant focus for us.'
On the product side, Easysofa scored notable wins. 'We began a fantastic collaboration with Eva van de Ven, a versatile stylist with a beautiful Amsterdam studio and well-known for "Vtwonen weer verliefd op je huis". Together with our purchasing team, she introduced the Boogie model—a true lounge sofa that has been incredibly well received by our customers. This partnership has great potential, and we look forward to sharing more in 2026.'

German customers
Trade fairs continue to provide valuable insights. 'We were surprised by the low number of German customers at the Brussels exhibition. The situation in Germany, both in retail and at trade fairs, is well known, but it's remarkable that this market isn't renewing itself in these challenging times,' Snapper notes.
When it comes to trends, Easysofa remains selective. 'We follow trends carefully to develop commercially viable models in terms of shape, size, and fabric types. But above all, we believe in balancing Easysofa's distinctive style with what's currently popular. This approach helps us offer customers unique and appealing designs. Customization plays a crucial role here.'

Looking ahead, Easysofa has ambitious plans. Snapper says, 'We deeply value our loyal customers and want to continue strengthening those relationships. Additionally, we aim for significant growth in France and Scandinavia. The project market, where we took our first successful steps in 2025, will remain a key focus.'
The market remains challenging, with Snapper acknowledging ongoing issues. 'We still face competitors who deliver directly from factories at very low prices. This often leads to unsolvable problems with service and delivery reliability. With rising consumer demands and regulations like the EUDR, our focus must remain on our added value: personal contact, excellent customer service, and fast delivery times.'
Total provider
In the long term, Easysofa wants to position itself as a total furnishing provider. 'Easysofa brings fashion not only to living rooms but also to project furnishings. In the coming years, we will continue expanding our range of chairs and outdoor furniture to create a compelling, commercial mix; enabling our customers to offer comprehensive furnishing solutions.'
And for those who think Easysofa only offers sofas, Snapper has a fun fact: 'Did you know we also have upholstered beds in our collection? Perfect for anyone wanting to add a splash of color to their bedroom.'
