Louis Vuitton has opened its Maison Louis Vuitton Sanlitun flagship in Beijing, designed by Japanese architect Jun Aoki. The store, inaugurated on 19 December 2025, combines architectural innovation with cultural references, including Taihu scholar's rocks and a silver dress from the Spring–Summer 2016 womenswear collection.

Spanning four levels, the store features a central atrium linking women's spaces across three floors and four VIP lounges. The third floor hosts a dedicated Louis Vuitton Home area, showcasing furniture, tableware, and textiles from designers such as Patricia Urquiola and Cristian Mohaded. The fourth floor introduces Le Café Louis Vuitton, offering an immersive dining experience with a mirrored 'infinite room,' a terrace overlooking Sanlitun, and a menu blending house classics with local creations like jiaozi-inspired dishes and a hawthorn dessert developed specifically for China.
The opening reflects a broader shift in global luxury retail, as brands recalibrate their China strategies amid slowing foot traffic. Flagship stores are increasingly designed as experiential destinations, integrating architecture, food, and cultural programming to extend customer engagement and reinforce brand narrative. Maison Louis Vuitton Sanlitun exemplifies this trend, positioning itself as both a retail and cultural landmark in Beijing.
