Astrid unveils new collections at Maison&Objet 2026

© Astrid Textiles

Founded in 2003 by Anna Boustedt, Astrid is a Stockholm-based textile brand driven by a love for fabrics and the transformative power of textiles. Collaborating with the finest European mills, Astrid creates fabrics that are both beautiful and functional, designed to elevate interiors with bold statements or subtle background support.

For Maison&Objet In the City, Astrid presents a Paris introduction showcasing how colour, texture, and detail shape atmosphere. Reflecting the brand's Scandinavian design philosophy, muted palettes, tactility, and softness meet function. Natural fibres are paired with flame-retardant fabrics that mirror their character, bringing beauty and performance together.

At the heart of Astrid's work lies a deep respect for materials and process. Linen, hemp, wool, alpaca, mohair, jute, and silk form the foundation of the collections, celebrated for their durability, texture, and tactile appeal. Flame-retardant polyester, often made from recycled material, ensures safety and sustainability without compromising aesthetic quality.

Astrid's approach combines creativity, craftsmanship, and environmental responsibility. Careful fibre selection, limited warps, and innovative production methods minimise waste while maximising expressive potential. Colours, structures, and textures are thoughtfully curated to offer designers the freedom to create layered, harmonious interiors.

Astrid collaborates with Adèle Collections in France, blending textiles with artisanal wallcoverings and natural materials for a gentle dialogue of textures, colours, and craftsmanship.

New Collections
Astrid introduces two flame-retardant collections, Napoli and Positano, woven from over 50% recycled material. Designed for public spaces and demanding interiors, these fabrics combine safety, elegance, and natural-fibre character. Napoli is a smooth satin with a luminous drape, while Positano features a subtle interwoven structure, offering a refined mélange of tones.

Additionally, the Soft Naturals series presents four new fabrics: Lucrezia, Liana, Valentina, and Giulia, crafted from linen, mohair, alpaca, silk, hemp, and jute. Each piece reflects gentle natural shades, layered textures, and tactile appeal.

A European hemp upholstery fabric completes the collection, offering structure, a soft dry touch, and a muted colour palette. All new fabrics bring natural elegance and sustainability to interiors, perfectly aligning with Astrid's Scandinavian design philosophy.
