In December 2025, supermarket group ASDA issued a product recall for its George Home Cushions and George Home Square Seat Pads due to fire safety concerns. The recall covers square cushions in various colours sold between January 2023 and December 2025, as well as square seat pads sold in packs of two between 2020 and 2025.

According to the Office for Product Safety and Standards, the filling in these products may not be fire-retardant, meaning that if the cushions or pads come into contact with a naked flame, the internal filling could ignite and continue to burn. The products fail to comply with the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988. ASDA has advised consumers to stop using the affected items immediately and return them to the nearest store for a full refund. This represents the second recall related to fire safety for George Home seating products, following a previous recall of the George Home Bench Pad.
