Hong Kong – Henderson Land has officially unveiled Central Yards, featuring the city's first private Broadway-calibre theatre, designed by UNS. The project is set to become a cultural and symbolic gateway along the New Central Harbourfront.

UNS has created a cutting-edge venue capable of hosting a diverse programme of world-class performances, including touring musicals, global premieres, flagship concerts, immersive productions, and cross-disciplinary showcases. The theatre will also serve as a creative hub for the city's artistic community.
The theatre forms part of the 4.8-hectare Central Yards development—a 400-metre-long "grounds-craper" integrating commerce, finance, leisure, and cultural activities. Dr Martin Lee Ka Shing, Chairman of Henderson Land, commented: "Central Yards is born from our commitment and love for the city we call home. It is a vibrant hub where nature, culture, joy, and ambition come together, turning Hong Kong into the world's grandest stage for future generations."
A venue for immersive experiences
The auditorium, with a capacity of over 1,100, integrates the performance stage, audience seating, and essential acoustic and technical systems within a sculpted lattice shell. Advanced acoustic and lighting systems promise an immersive visual and auditory experience for every performance.
UNS has also designed an integrated visitor experience connecting the theatre with surrounding public and office spaces, including landscaped areas, VIP zones, and office lobbies. This creates flexible indoor and outdoor settings for public engagement and cultural events beyond traditional theatre walls.
