Object Carpet has been awarded a Muuuz International Award (MIAW) for Innovation for its Neuland carpet collection, recognised for its pioneering approach to circular design and material technology. Developed in collaboration with the Ippolito Fleitz Group, the collection combines a strong architectural aesthetic with advanced sustainability principles, offering a responsible solution tailored to contemporary urban interiors.

The MIAW Innovation Awards, organised annually by the French architecture and design publications Muuuz and d'a, celebrate outstanding achievements in architecture, interior design and materials. This year's ceremony took place on 4 December at the Grand Hôtel InterContinental in Paris, where Object Carpet was honoured in the category 'Interior Design, Materials and Surfaces'. The jury praised Neuland for its technical performance, functional versatility and environmental responsibility.
Central to the collection is Object Carpet's proprietary DUO technology, a modular system that allows carpets to be manufactured using only two materials: polyamide and polyester. Through a patented heat treatment process, these materials can be easily separated after use. This click/unclick system enables full recyclability, allowing each component to re-enter its original production cycle. Compared to conventional recycling methods, the process requires significantly less energy, while production itself uses neither water nor gas, reducing energy consumption by up to 95 per cent.

Beyond its technical innovation, Neuland also impressed the jury with its clear and contemporary design language. Conceived by the Ippolito Fleitz Group, the collection is defined by visual clarity, balance and graphic precision. Its understated yet expressive aesthetic brings structure and calm to interior spaces, positioning the carpet as both a functional element and a design tool for modern project environments.
