Design Shanghai, Asia's leading international design event, will take place from 19–22 March 2026 at the historic Shanghai Exhibition Centre. The 13th edition promises an enhanced visitor experience and a comprehensive programme showcasing Asia's most innovative design. The 2025 edition attracted over 76,000 visitors, reinforcing the event's status as a major international platform.
The show features four main sectors: Furniture & Lighting, Kitchen, Bathroom & Systems Design, New Materials & Applications, and Living & Lifestyle, presenting more than 500 brands from over 20 countries. Special curated features such as TALENTS, Made in JDZ, Beyond Craft, Collectible Design & Art, and Materials First highlight emerging talent, craftsmanship, and material innovation. Two major conferences, the KOHLER · Design Shanghai Global Design Conference and the CMF Conference, offer inspiration for designers worldwide.

International exhibitors including Roche Bobois, Lasvit, and VIPP will showcase their craftsmanship alongside contemporary Chinese brands like SHANG XIA, FNJI, and LEEDARSON. TALENTS presents young designers under the theme "About Time," while Made in JDZ brings traditional Jingdezhen crafts into a modern context. Beyond Craft, Collectible Design & Art, and Materials First provide cross-disciplinary and interactive experiences, from traditional craft to material experimentation.
The event also expands with Design in the City (5–22 March), activating over 100 locations across Shanghai with installations, workshops, and interactive experiences, turning the city into an immersive design festival.
Show Director Zhuo Tan emphasizes that Design Shanghai focuses on enhancing quality of life, comfort, and inclusivity, while promoting Chinese design on the global stage. The 2026 edition combines international ambition with storytelling, craftsmanship, sustainability, and material innovation, reinforcing its role as Asia's most influential design event.
