Dunelm has officially reopened its Yeovil store at the Quedam Shopping Centre, more than a year after it suffered significant damage from a fire. The blaze, caused by a discarded cigarette outside the building in August 2024, led to extensive roof and interior damage. During the refurbishment period, the retailer maintained a presence in the area through a pop-up store that operated for four months.

The newly reopened store spans 24,000 square feet and now features a Dunelm Pausa café. To mark the grand reopening, the first 100 customers received exclusive goody bags filled with Dunelm products. Additionally, 20 golden tickets offering vouchers ranging from £5 to £20 were hidden throughout the store for lucky shoppers to discover.
Dunelm described the reopening as a "really special moment" for the team and the local community. The fire had been a devastating event for both staff and residents, and while employees were temporarily redeployed to nearby stores, everyone eagerly anticipated returning to the refurbished location. The company expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and patience shown by the local community throughout the rebuilding process.
