Crafted from FSC®-certified solid teak and tactile canvas, the Canvas Chair Outdoor embodies durability, elegance, and sustainability. Its robust materials and timeless design make it a versatile addition to terraces, gardens, and patios, bringing relaxed sophistication to any outdoor setting. The chair reflects Mogensen's visionary approach, where understated forms and practical functionality merge seamlessly.
The accompanying imagery showcases the chair both inside and outside Mogensen's house in Gentofte, widely regarded as one of his most complete architectural creations. Designed in collaboration with architects Arne Karlsen and Erling Zeuthen Nielsen and completed in 1958, the house sits in a historically rich neighbourhood known as The Architects' Marsh—a hub for mid-century Danish architects such as Jørn Utzon, Eva and Nils Koppel, Mogens Lassen, and Hans J. Wegner. The lush greenery and serene surroundings provide a perfect backdrop for experiencing the chair's elegance and comfort.
Fredericia continues to celebrate Mogensen's legacy with other classic designs, including the BM80 Shaker Table Series and the J39 Mogensen Chair. The BM80 series, originally designed in 1961, is now offered in multiple heights and sizes, including new round table tops. Meanwhile, the J39 chair, inspired by Mogensen's 1969 prototype, returns with an upholstered seat that adds a modern touch while staying true to its heritage.
