British designer Tom Dixon has been awarded a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in King Charles III's New Year's Honours List, recognising his influential contribution to design. The CBE is the highest rank within the Order and marks a significant milestone in Dixon's career.

Dixon is internationally recognised for reshaping contemporary design through innovative furniture, lighting and accessories. His work is held in major cultural institutions worldwide, including the V&A in London and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
The honour follows his appointment as an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2001, reflecting more than two decades of sustained creative impact. His career has been characterised by experimentation, material exploration and a distinctive approach that has helped position British design on the global stage.
Tom Dixon Studio described the award as recognition of his "significant and influential contributions to design". The CBE further cements Dixon's status as one of the UK's most prominent and internationally respected designers, whose work continues to shape the global design landscape.
